"Think of giving not just as a duty but as a privilege." --J.D. Rockefeller At first glance, an internationally renowned oil tycoon and a member of the oldest women's club in Southern California would appear to lead very different lives. But, in reality, JD Rockefeller and Emma Spears – the community activist who, in April 1920, persuaded her fellow members of the Shakespeare Club to establish a shelter program for teenage girls that today, as Rosemary Children's Services, aids over 550 at-risk children annually -- were working toward the same goal, to better the lives of the least fortunate members of their communities. We invite you to join the many invaluable members of our community who have followed in Emma Spear's footsteps. Because of their generous contributions, Rosemary Children's Services has been able to provide a safe haven for abused, neglected and abandoned children for 85 years. Working together, we can continue, for years to come, to help children, adolescents and their families heal from the past...find the courage to dream...and greet the future with renewed hope.
