STAR CHEFS TAKING CENTER STAGE!

Rosemary Children’s Services hosts their 45th Annual “An Evening with Star Chefs” on June 21 at the historic Santa Anita Park showcasing the area’s top culinary talents.

Michaela Pereira, co-host of KTLA’s Morning Show, returns to act as MC. PASADENA , Calif.  In 2007, Rosemary Children’s Services (RCS) expanded their services in a big way. Thanks to the generous support from community partners, the agency was able to realize two long-term goals—the completion of an on grounds library and renovation of the Cottage kitchen. Amidst the construction, Rosemary Children’s continued to help over 550 boys and girls throughout Southern California through its wide array of services including a Residential Treatment Program, Mental Health Services, Non-Public School and Foster Family and Adoptions agency. So with their landmark annual fundraiser “An Evening with Star Chefs” just around the corner, the agency hopes the event will help defray some of the costs associated with maintaining the high quality and the continual expansion of services available to at-risk youth. On Saturday, June 21, 6 p.m. at the historic Santa Anita Park in Arcadia , RCS warmly invite members from the community to enjoy an evening of fine dining and the spirit of charity, as they support a very worthy cause. “An Evening with Star Chefs” hosted by the exuberant and vivacious co-host of KTLA Morning News, Michaela Pereira, showcases the area’s most shining culinary talents. Over 500 guests annually enjoy an evening of gourmet cuisine, fine wines, exotic beers, and specialty desserts, while dancing the night away to live entertainment. Some of the participating restaurants include: 561, Celestino, McCormick and Schmick’s, Il Fornaio, El Cholo, Mi Piace, and Madeleines Restaurant and Wine Bistro. In addition, guests have the opportunity to bid on an exciting silent auction or enter an opportunity drawing.
“This event is a food and wine lovers paradise, I can’t think of a better kick off the summer than with a evening of fabulous food and an opportunity to raise awareness for the plight of abused, abandoned, and neglected children” says Tamika Farr, Development Director of RCS. “We simply could not hold an event of this magnitude and without community support, every year we count on civic minded citizens to help make ‘An Evening with Star Chefs’ a success and look forward to welcoming everyone to the biggest and most exciting Star Chefs yet” explains Greg Wessels, Executive Director of RCS.
